Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if someone could tell me how I go about doing ink washes in photoshop? I'm working on a project where there is a flashback sequence that would look nice with a black & white ink wash treatment. Can anyone point me in the right direction with this?
Thanks for reading my post! |

If you want to do it in gray tones, I would think using black, white, and maybe 3 values if gray would work. I would start by filling in flat areas with the values I wanted, then I'd build up some brushy texture by layering transparent brush strokes over the flat tones - for the modeling.
There are probably many ways to do it. Good luck, maybe someone else has a few ideas. _________________ Ernie |

This is actually a very interesting question... Digital inkwashing. Ekiwat's method is about where I've experimented in the past with some success (and just as many, if not more failure), but I'll poke the higher-ups and see if they have any gems in this arena. _________________ D*Art TechMod
